Dried fruits & dried vegetables

 Food drying is one of the oldest methods of removing moisture to preserve food for later consumption.

Drying eliminates moisture from food, preventing the growth of bacteria, yeast, and mold—microorganisms that would otherwise spoil it.

Examples of dried foods include jerky, powdered milk, dried beans and peas, dehydrated potatoes, dried fruits and vegetables, pasta, and rice.

Dried fruits are unique, flavorful, and nutritious; dried vegetables can also be preserved through drying.

The process begins with washing the fruits and vegetables, peeling them if needed.
