Foodservice and retail suppliers frying onion rings at line scale — from whole onion to packed finished product. For the full fresh-produce range, see the fruit and vegetable processing hub.
The entry line produces 200 kg/h of finished rings across 15 m. The standard continuous line runs 500 kg/h over 25 m, about 5 tons per day, and the industrial reaches 1,000 kg/h across 35 m, about 10 tons per day. Size by finished-product sales, not raw onion intake, since frying concentrates weight.
Palm, sunflower, and canola all run; palm is the most common choice for shelf stability. Oil absorption runs 5 to 8% into the product, and the line’s oil filtration system extends oil life about threefold by removing crumbs that carbonize. Filter daily, top up with fresh oil, and track oil condition if your market requires it.
A standard tempura-style batter formula is included with the line, which is a working starting point from day one. Custom batter engineering is available if you need a signature texture or a specific clean-label recipe. Batter viscosity is the variable to control tightly either way, since it drives pickup and fry color.
6 to 9 months in nitrogen-flushed aluminum foil bags, which is the standard pack format for this product. Seasoning options include salt, BBQ, sour cream, and spicy, applied in the included flavoring drum. Validate shelf life on your own oil and batter combination before printing pack dates, since recipe changes it.
Plan about 10 days of installation on site and 5 days of operator training, with full documentation in English. The line runs whole onion to packed product, so commissioning covers each stage: peeling, slicing, battering, frying, draining, seasoning, and packaging. Raw onion supply and packaging film should be contracted before start-up.
