Automatic screw capper for plastic and metal screw caps. 1,000-12,000 bottles/h. Servo-controlled torque.
| Model | Capacity | Configuration |
|---|---|---|
| SCC-101 | 1,000 bph | 4-spindle linear. |
| SCC-001 | 6,000 bph | 8-spindle rotary. |
| SCC-201 | 12,000 bph | 16-spindle high-speed. |
Typical values — each model is configured to your product, cut size, and line speed.
Beverage and sauce lines tightening screw caps onto bottles and jars consistently. For the full range, see the processing hub.
Head count follows bottles per hour: a 4-spindle linear capper covers about 1,000 bph, an 8-spindle rotary reaches 6,000, and a 16-spindle high-speed machine reaches 12,000. Bottles per minute at the filler sets the target, with capping matched to run in sync, so quote both machines together and the line balances without buffering gymnastics.
Servo-driven spindles hold torque within about 2 percent, programmable per cap type and stored in the recipe. That control matters in both directions: too loose and the product leaks or vents, too tight and threads strip or consumers cannot open the bottle. Torque logs give you the audit trail for quality releases.
Diameters from 18 to 120mm with quick-change chucks, covering water bottle caps through large jar closures. A cap format change runs 10 to 15 minutes, chuck set plus guide parts, with torque and speed recalled per cap. Plants running several cap sizes keep chuck sets kitted per SKU, which turns changeover into a swap.
A vibratory bowl or centrifugal sorter elevates, orients, and delivers caps to the capping head on demand. Cap quality drives this more than the machine: flash, dust, or mixed lots misfeed. An optional integration adds induction sealing after capping for tamper-evident foil, sequenced so torque is set first and foil seals second.
Usually alignment, not torque. Bottle neck guides worn or out of position let the bottle sit off-center, and the cap starts crossed. Cap delivery timing off lands the cap before the bottle is under the spindle. Bent or worn chucks grip unevenly and tilt caps. Monthly chuck lubrication and the annual spindle bearing check keep the mechanics true.
