Blow molding machine: transforms PET preforms into finished bottles using heat + high-pressure air. 1,000-12,000 bottles/h. 1-10 cavity molds.
| Model | Capacity | Configuration |
|---|---|---|
| BLB-101 | 1,000 bph | 2-cavity. Small bottlers. |
| BLB-001 | 4,000 bph | 4-cavity. Mid-scale. |
| BLB-201 | 12,000 bph | 10-cavity. Industrial high-speed. |
Typical values — each model is configured to your product, cut size, and line speed.
Beverage plants blowing PET bottles from preforms inline ahead of filling. For the full range, see the processing hub.
Work backwards from the filler: bottles per hour required sets the cavity count and cycle. The range runs 1,000 bottles per hour on a 2-cavity unit, 4,000 on 4 cavities, up to 12,000 on a 10-cavity mold, with cycles of 15-25 seconds by bottle size. Blowing inline ahead of filling removes bottle logistics entirely.
High-pressure air at 3.0 MPa, consuming 0.5-2.0 cubic meters per minute by cavity count. This is the most underestimated utility on a blow molder: standard plant air does not stretch PET, so the compressor, dryer, and ring main are sized specifically for the machine. The air specification ships with the order.
Yes, with heat-resistant PET preforms, which produce the thicker, heat-set bottles that survive 85°C hot filling. The deciding factor is the preform, not the machine: standard preforms blow bottles that deform in a hot filler. If your line fills hot, oven and mold profiles are configured for heat-set preforms.
Mold change takes about 30 minutes across sizes from 200 ml to 2 L, and the infrared oven reprofiles per preform as part of the same changeover, so one machine can serve several SKUs a day. Frequent changes still cost capacity, so group production by format where your order book allows.
Energy centers on the infrared oven, 15-40 kW by model, with compressed air the other major line item. Wear falls on the molds, cleaned monthly, and the heaters, replaced annually. Molds are the costly consumable, so order spares for your highest-runner format together with the machine.
