FAQ

The family spans 500 to 3,000 fruits per hour. The compact single-lane model with manual feed suits boutique jam and small dried-fruit producers at 500 per hour. The standard two-lane machine with optical fruit-size detection handles 1,500, and the four-lane automatic-feed industrial unit reaches 3,000. Size against peak-season intake rather than the annual average, since the machine cannot be widened later.

The punch leaves a 6 to 8 mm hole through the center and flesh retention runs 92 to 96%, so most of the fruit stays saleable. Clingstone peaches pit cleanly with the high-pressure needle option, standard on the industrial model and optional on the standard model. For canners who need whole or half fruit appearance, a splitting pitter configuration is available on request.

Missed pits usually trace to three causes: worn needles, undersized fruit slipping past the optical sensor, or a needle stroke set for a different fruit size. On the standard and industrial models the stroke auto-adjusts by fruit size, so start by inspecting needle wear and recalibrating the sensor. Sorting out severely undersized fruit before feeding also removes a common source of misses.

Needles are consumables. Expect 200,000 to 300,000 cycles per needle, which works out to roughly 3 to 6 months on a single shift. They are food-grade stainless and cost around USD 12 to 18 each, so a spare set on the shelf is a small investment against line downtime. Regular inspection during weekly cleaning catches bent or dulled needles early.

Yes. A matching bubble washer and elevator hopper are available for continuous feed, so fruit flows from washing directly into the pitting lanes. Pits drop into a stainless tray under the punch head, and a chute can be connected to discharge pits outside the machine for collection. Tell us your upstream equipment and we match infeed heights.
