The FSC-001 industrial fish scaler machine removes fish scales automatically and hygienically at 500-2,000 fish per hour — without bruising or tearing the flesh. Stainless steel rotating brushes adapt to fish body shape, leaving scales intact for clean processing.

Rate steps from 500 fish per hour for markets and counters, through 1,200 with an 8-brush standard machine, to 2,000 fish per hour on the 12-brush industrial unit for surimi and fish-ball plants. Species screening comes first though: scale-less fish such as catfish and eel do not belong in a scaler at all.
For patchy removal, check fish sizing first: fish under 100 g slip between the brushes, so pre-sort them out. For torn flesh, check input temperature, because partially thawed fish tears as scale pulls at the skin, so thaw completely before scaling. The brushes themselves are gentle by design, holding skin damage under 1% at 95%-plus removal when the input is right.
About 1,500-2,000 hours, which works out to roughly 12 months on single shift, and OEM replacement brushes ship on 5-day global delivery. Brush wear shows as declining removal rate long before it shows as damage, so track removal percentage weekly and order on the trend rather than the calendar.
Either order works. Many lines scale first, then gut, and a combined cleaning machine that does both is the alternative when floor space is tight. The scaling step itself is unaffected by gutting sequence. What does matter is fish condition: fresh or fully thawed, never frozen, and sorted so undersize fish are not fed in.
Scales flush out through a 3-inch discharge chute with the wash water, and the standard hookup runs that to a settling tank, from which collected scales go to rendering or a fish-meal plant. Planning the chute route and water volume at installation keeps the scaling area floor-dry and the waste stream recoverable.
