Typical values — each model is configured to your product, cut size, and line speed.
Bakery, confectionery, and ice cream ingredient makers chopping kernels to granule spec. For the full range, see the processing hub.
Granule size, 3 to 10 mm, is set by the screen mesh, and a mesh change takes about 3 minutes with no tools. That speed is the point: cookie dough wants a finer grade than ice cream inclusions, and granola bars another again. One machine covers the range by holding a mesh on the shelf for each product spec you run.
Over 90% of output falls within the target size band, with fines held under 5% when the feed rate is right. The feed rate is the variable operators control: surging the hopper crushes already-cut pieces into fines, while starved feed lets granules bounce and round off. Steady feeding is the whole trick to keeping the spec your customer’s QA checks.
At room temperature oil release is minimal for typical peanut and almond duty. For oilier nuts, pre-chilling the kernels before chopping keeps them firm so the blades cut instead of smear. If you see paste building on the screen, that is the signal: either the nuts are too warm or the batch sat too long after roasting. Chilled feed fixes it.
The 200 kg/h model serves small ice cream and bakery operations, 500 kg/h covers mid-scale, and the 800 kg/h unit feeds industrial granola and snack-mix programs. Power draw is modest across the range, 0.75 to 2.2 kW. Hazelnut chopping runs on the same machines with a speed adjustment for the harder nut.
Clear the screen daily, because trapped granules and oil dust block mesh openings and quietly shift your effective cut size. Check the mesh for damage at each change, since a torn mesh passes oversize pieces straight to customer QC. Beyond that, standard food-machine hygiene: wipe down contact parts between nut types, especially where allergen control applies.
