Vision inspection: high-resolution camera checks label presence, position, print quality, cap skew, seal integrity, and product appearance. 30-300 ppm.
| Model | Capacity | Configuration |
|---|---|---|
| VIS-101 | 30 ppm | Single camera. Label + cap check. |
| VIS-001 | 150 ppm | Dual camera + OCR. Mid-scale. |
| VIS-201 | 300 ppm | Multi-angle + 3D + AI. Industrial. |
Typical values — each model is configured to your product, cut size, and line speed.
Plants inspecting label, cap, and product appearance by camera. For the full range, see the processing hub.
It verifies label presence, position, and skew; reads and grades barcodes; reads expiry and batch codes by OCR; checks cap presence and fill level; and inspects seal integrity and product appearance. In practice it replaces the operator eyeball at line speed, catching the crooked label and the missing lot code that manual sampling misses. The inspection set is configured per product during commissioning.
Cameras range from 2 to 25 megapixels depending on the inspection, with sub-pixel measurement available on fine print like expiry dates. Reading a small lot code needs resolution and correct lighting more than raw camera count. The camera count grows with the inspection set: one camera covers label and cap, dual cameras add OCR, and multi-angle plus 3D covers complex products.
The higher-end models learn what normal looks like for your product and flag deviation from that learned appearance, so natural variation in topping or color stays within tolerance while a missing component or wrong label is caught. Teaching a product takes a short run of good samples. Sensitivity is then tuned to your accepted quality band, and false reject rates are checked at commissioning.
The reject station is synchronized to the vision result, so the flagged pack is pushed off by the reject arm without stopping the line, and the fault image is saved with the event. Operators can review why each pack was rejected, which speeds tracing of the upstream cause. Throughput runs 30 to 300 packs per minute across the range.
OCR accuracy on standard printed fonts runs above 99.5%, with lighting and lens chosen for your print style, inkjet or laser. Low-contrast or dot-matrix codes need the right illumination, which we set at commissioning using your actual samples. Every read is logged with the image, giving a record that each pack carried a legible code. Failed reads reject the pack.
