Optical color sorter: removes discolored, defective, and foreign-material items from grains, nuts, coffee, and seeds. 1-20 t/h. CCD camera + air-jet ejector.
| Model | Capacity | Configuration |
|---|---|---|
| CLS-101 | 1 t/h | 64 channels. Small processors. |
| CLS-001 | 5 t/h | 128 channels. Mid-scale. |
| CLS-201 | 20 t/h | 320 channels. Industrial. |
Typical values — each model is configured to your product, cut size, and line speed.
Rice, nut, and vegetable plants removing discolored defects optically. For the full range, see the processing hub.
Product free-falls past cameras in a thin curtain, and when the system sees a defective or foreign item it fires a high-speed air valve, responding in around half a millisecond, to blow it off trajectory into the reject chute. Good product continues untouched. There is no contact with good product at all, which is how optical sorting preserves quality at 1 to 20 t/h.
CCD cameras catch color defects: discolored grains, spotted kernels, and foreign seeds. Shape analysis by morphology catches broken and malformed pieces. An optional near-infrared stage adds material-type discrimination, catching look-alike items visible light misses, such as stones resembling rice. Typical work covers rice, coffee, nuts, pulses, seeds, grains, and salt. We test your sample and report what is detectable.
Typical performance keeps around 99.5% of good product accepted while removing around 99.8% of defects. The two figures move together: tightening sensitivity removes more defects but carries more good product into the reject stream. The right setting depends on your tolerance for defects versus yield loss. We tune the balance on your material during commissioning and document the settings.
Channels are independent air-jet nozzles across the chute, from 64 on small machines to 320 on industrial units. More channels give finer resolution on wide chutes and better performance at high feed rates, because each valve covers fewer items per second. Capacity runs 1 to 20 t/h across the range. Match channel count to your throughput and defect load, not to the top line of a brochure.
Monthly cleaning of the camera glass and quarterly replacement of air valves are the routine items, because dust on the glass and slow valves are the two things that quietly erode accuracy. Clean, dry feed air matters as much as the schedule. Machine monitoring tracks valve response and eject counts, so degradation shows in data before it shows in your output quality.
