Industrial Bread Slicer

Oscillating band blades cut loaves into uniform slices — 200–3,000 loaves/h typical, 8–25 mm thickness, round or square loaves.

Feature

  1. Oscillating band-blade array — uniform slices at line speed.
  2. 200–3,000 loaves/h typical across three sizes.
  3. 8–25 mm thickness on changeable blade frames.
  4. Round, oval, and square loaves on adjustable guides.
  5. Full enclosure with door interlock and auto-stop.
  6. Blade sets a reorderable consumable — 3,000–5,000 h life.

Parameters

The BRS series bread slicer cuts loaves into uniform slices with an oscillating band-blade array — 200–3,000 loaves per hour typical, slice thickness 8–25 mm. The last machine of the bread line.

Uniform Slices

Stainless band blades, 10–30 per frame depending on loaf width and thickness, oscillate through the loaf while guides hold it square. Blade frames are changeable between thickness settings — a sandwich-loaf frame and a toast frame on one machine.

Loaf Shapes and Crumbs

Guides accommodate round, oval, and square loaves. Sharp blades minimize crumb generation and a crumb tray collects what falls — slicing runs clean into the bagger.

Safety and Blades

Full enclosure with door interlock and auto-stop. Blade sets run 3,000–5,000 hours before replacement — sets are a consumable, reorderable any time.

Line Position

Slicing takes fully cooled loaves from the RTO rotary / CVO convection / TNO tunnel oven line, ahead of bagging. The full line is on the bakery equipment hub.

FAQ

Slice thickness is set by the blade pitch. The blade frame is ordered to your spec, and common sandwich programs run one fixed thickness with optional frames for a second cut. Square pan loaves are the standard format; round and baguette cutting needs the corresponding guide format. Tell us your loaf list and we confirm each one.

Cooled. Slicing warm bread compresses the crumb and gums the blades, so the crumb tears instead of cutting. Most programs let bread rest long enough for the core temperature to settle before slicing. If you must slice warmer loaves to hit dispatch times, we set the blade frame and speed for it specifically.

The bread tells you. Ragged cut faces, compressed slices, and rising crumb buildup mean edges are dull. Under heavy use of hundreds of loaves a day, blade frames are consumables on a months-scale replacement cycle, and light use stretches that several times over. Spare frames on the shelf keep the line from waiting on shipping.

Dry-brush crumbs out after every run, wipe and sanitize the food-contact surfaces daily, and never hose the machine down, because water in the drive side is the classic killer. Blades are handled with the machine off and locked out. Fifteen minutes a day covers the routine.

One operator loads, the machine cuts, and the bagging side receives, so the slicer itself is rarely the bottleneck in a properly fed line. Realistic throughput depends on loaf size and slice count. We state the figures for your exact format rather than a headline number.
