Cryogenic freezer: uses liquid nitrogen (-196C) or CO2 (-78C) for ultra-rapid freezing. 100-1,500 kg/h. No dehydration loss. For premium seafood and meat.
| Model | Capacity | Configuration |
|---|---|---|
| CVF-101 | 100 kg/h | Batch LN2 cabinet. Small. |
| CVF-001 | 500 kg/h | Continuous LN2 tunnel. |
| CVF-201 | 1,500 kg/h | Industrial CO2 snow + LN2 hybrid. |
Typical values — each model is configured to your product, cut size, and line speed.
Premium lines flash-freezing with liquid nitrogen or CO2 for top quality. For the full range, see the processing hub.
LN2 runs at -196°C and freezes fastest, at higher gas cost. CO2 snow at -78°C is milder and usually cheaper per kilogram, suited to products where extreme speed is not required. Some plants run hybrid machines, using CO2 for crust and LN2 to finish. The choice follows product value, available gas supply, and target freeze time. We model both against your products and local gas prices.
The headline is dehydration loss: under 0.5% against a typical 2 to 5% for mechanical blast freezing, because freeze time is so short that moisture has no time to sublimate. That preserves weight, glaze, and appearance, which is why the method suits premium seafood, high-value meat, berries, and ready meals. On high-value product, recovered weight routinely offsets the gas bill.
Plan on roughly 1 to 3 kg of LN2 per kilogram of product, or 1.5 to 4 kg with CO2, varying with product temperature, water content, and target exit temperature. Pre-chilled product consumes less. The gas supply contract matters as much as the machine, since consumption is the operating cost. We estimate usage for your actual products so procurement can price it properly.
An oxygen monitor in the operating area and forced ventilation, because escaping nitrogen displaces air without warning. The machine includes automatic nitrogen purge control, and enclosed tunnels limit gas release. Staff training on asphyxiation risk and gas handling is part of start-up. Local code may set further requirements for gas storage and piping, which we review with your gas supplier.
The range runs 100 to 1,500 kg/h, from batch LN2 cabinets through continuous LN2 tunnels to industrial hybrid machines combining CO2 snow with LN2. Batch cabinets suit small premium runs; continuous tunnels suit steady throughput. There is no compressor bank, so capital and installation footprint stay modest against mechanical freezing. We match the format to your product mix and shift pattern.
