Esper Food Tech supplies industrial freezers for meat, poultry, seafood, vegetables, fruit, bakery, and prepared foods. Freezing capacity from 300 kg/h to 5,000 kg/h, with refrigeration integration (NH₃, Freon, or CO₂) quoted as a complete system.
| Type | Best For | Typical Capacity | Product In/Out |
|---|---|---|---|
| IQF fluidized (IQF) | Peas, corn, diced veg, shrimp, berries — free-flowing | 500–3,000 kg/h | +20°C → −18°C in 10–20 min |
| Spiral (SPF) | Burgers, nuggets, formed products; compact footprint | 500–4,000 kg/h | +20°C → −18°C in 30–90 min |
| Tunnel (TNF) | Carton/tinned goods, whole fish; batch carts | 300–2,000 kg/h | Cart-based, 90–240 min |
| Plate contact (PLF) | Block/bagged products, fish fillets — flat, fast | 200–1,500 kg/h | −18°C in 60–120 min |
| Cryogenic (CVF) | Short runs, high-value items, surge capacity | 100–1,000 kg/h | Minutes; LN₂/CO₂ based |
Freezer capacity must cover the fryer/cooler peak, not the daily average. A 1,000 kg/h fryer with 15% weight gain after coating needs a freezer rated ≥1,200 kg/h finished product. Undersized freezing shows up as clumped IQF product and temperature abuse above −18°C.
Every 1°C lower evaporation temperature adds ~3% energy cost — size for −35 to −42°C evap, not colder, unless the product requires it. Cryogenic is fast and low-capex but per-kg running cost is 3–8× mechanical — best as surge capacity. Pre-cooling product to ≤+10°C with ambient air before entering the freezer cuts freezer size 20–30%.
| Checkpoint | Typical Requirement |
|---|---|
| Core temp out | −18°C or colder, verified by probe per shift |
| Residence time | Validated per product; charts retained |
| Belt materials | 304 stainless, food-grade modular belts |
| CIP / access | Sanitary design, removable panels, drainage |
Free-flowing cut veg: IQF fluidized. Larger cuts or tray-pack: spiral. Cart-based batch: tunnel.
Yes, as integrated systems: compressor rack, evaporator, controls. We also match existing plant refrigeration where specified.
Send upstream line output (kg/h), product type, and pack format; we size with 10–15% headroom.
Supervised installation, pull-down test, performance trial at −18°C core before handover (typical 10–20 days on site).
Fans, belts, sensors stocked; compressor parts via the refrigeration partner network.
Yes with sanitation protocols and allergen changeover plans; we document the cleaning cycle.
