Every liquid line pairs a dosing principle with a closure system. Esper configures the pair to your product: thin or viscous, particulate or clean, glass or PET, screw cap or snap or ROPP.
| Principle | Best For | Accuracy | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gravity/level | Thin liquids where level matters (cosmetic) | ±1–2 mm level | Simplest; no metering parts |
| Piston | Viscous, particulate products (sauce, paste) | ±0.5–1% | Rotary valve for chunks to 10 mm |
| Net weight | Expensive products; large containers | ±0.1–0.5% | Load cell per nozzle; best giveaway economics |
| Flow meter (mag) | Thin to medium liquids, high speed | ±0.2–0.5% | No product contact; clean-in-place friendly |
| Peristaltic | Sterile/pharma small volumes | ±0.5% | Tube is the only contact part |
| Closure | Machine | Verification |
|---|---|---|
| Screw cap (plastic) | Capper with magnetic clutch heads | Torque audit + vision cap presence |
| ROPP aluminum | Roll-on capper (wine, pharma) | Thread formation check |
| Snap cap | Press capper | Application force monitoring |
| Induction liner | Induction sealer after capping | Membrane presence sensor |
Dosing decides speed and giveaway; closure decides leak rate and tamper evidence. The common mistake is over-investing in dosing accuracy while under-specifying capping quality — a ±0.5% filler behind a 3% cap-defect capper ships leakers. We quote the pair together with acceptance test protocols for both.
Nozzle and cap-part changeouts: 20–45 min on servo inline machines; recipe-driven height adjustments automatic.
Product-contact parts designed CIP on piston and flow-meter fillers; peristaltic by tube swap.
Run the giveaway math: at 500 ml and 2% overfill, every 10,000 bottles give away 100 L of product — net-weight upgrading pays itself back fast on premium liquids.
ATEX configurations for alcohol and solvent products — zone classification per your layout.
Standard: checkweigher feeds back to filler setpoint, auto-trimming drift.
Cap chucks and nozzle seals are wear items — 12-month kits quoted with every machine.
