Edible oil plants split into two routes: pressing (seeds to crude oil) and refining (crude to bottled). Esper configures both — from 1 t/day screw-press sets to 50 t/day refinery lines with continuous degumming.
| Step | Equipment | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Seed prep | Cooker-conditioner + flaker | Moisture and temperature set per seed type |
| Pressing | Screw press (SZX/ZY series) | 1–10 t/day single; 20+ t/day pre-press + solvent extraction |
| Filtration | Plate filter / vertical leaf filter | Crude to storage |
| Stage | Purpose | Key Control |
|---|---|---|
| Degumming | Remove phosphatides | Water or acid degumming; 60–70°C reaction |
| Neutralization | Remove FFAs | Alkali dosing matched to FFA%; soap separation by centrifuge |
| Bleaching | Remove color/pigments | Bleaching earth 0.5–2%; vacuum 80–110°C |
| Deodorization | Remove odors/peroxides | Steam stripping 240–260°C under high vacuum — the energy-dominant stage |
| Winterization (sunflower) | Remove waxes | Chilled crystallization + filtration for cold-test clarity |
Bottled oil runs gravity or weight filling on rotary fillers with anti-drip nozzles; 1–5 L PET dominates retail. We integrate filling with capping, induction seal (leak protection), labeling, and case packing — matched to your bottle portfolio.
1–5 t/day batch refining serves regional oil brands; continuous refining pays above 10–20 t/day.
Rapeseed, sunflower, soybean, peanut on one screw press with setting changes; palm fruit needs a different digestion/pressing route.
Lower temperature pressing (<60°C) with heavier filtration — yields less oil, commands premium positioning.
The largest consumer — heat recovery from bleaching and interstage exchangers cut fuel 30–40% on our continuous designs.
250 ml to 5 L PET/glass; weight filling recommended above 1 L for giveaway control.
Press sets 45–60 days; complete 10 t/day refinery 150–210 days including commissioning.
